Croissants

The Daring Bakers go retro this month! Thanks to one of our very talented non-blogging members, Sarah, the Daring Bakers were challenged to make Croissants using a recipe from the Queen of French Cooking, none other than Julia Child!
so i LOVE croissants and i watched the video of julia maybe ten times but this just didn't work out for me. i made the dough and it was so time consuming that i got a little bored... me with my teenage brain :) so i made one batch that i forgot to take a picture of but it tasted okay... stuck to the pan a little... i think that if i hadn't given up on the dough it would've turned out but i thought it was going to be a disaster and that i was doing everything wrong! this is mostly due to the fact that when i was rolling the dough and cutting it, it kept ripping and seemed to thin and then didn't rise.... i will definitely try this in the future though!

ps. i think i'm late.... sorry i thought it was the 28th! oops

  1. Don't worry about it I'm sure that teenage brain LOL LOL learnt a lot from the experience, and I'm sure next time you will feel a lot better while doing them. Mostly baking is about confidence and being able to think on your feet. So all the best. Cheers from Audax in Sydney Australia.
