The Daring Bakers go retro this month! Thanks to one of our very talented non-blogging members, Sarah, the Daring Bakers were challenged to make Croissants using a recipe from the Queen of French Cooking, none other than Julia Child!so i LOVE croissants and i watched the video of julia maybe ten times but this just didn't work out for me. i made the dough and it was so time consuming that i got a little bored... me with my teenage brain :) so i made one batch that i forgot to take a picture of but it tasted okay... stuck to the pan a little... i think that if i hadn't given up on the dough it would've turned out but i thought it was going to be a disaster and that i was doing everything wrong! this is mostly due to the fact that when i was rolling the dough and cutting it, it kept ripping and seemed to thin and then didn't rise.... i will definitely try this in the future though!
